Bir araçtan kopan lastik, az daha bir diğerinde katliama yol açıyordu.
ABD’nin Florida eyaletinde bir TIR’dan kopan çift lastik, karşı yöne geçti ve burada süratle seyreden otomobilin önüne çıktı. Sürücü hızını azaltsa da otomobil dev lastiğe çarpmaktan kurtulamadı. Çarpmanın etkisiyle aracın ön kısmı büyük zarar görürken, can kaybı yaşanmaması tek teselli oldu.
